Nigel Farage Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “harming young minds” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this negative culture.”

Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his political career on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with education – absolutely herculean. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind as opposed to current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

At the US event, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He said such groups were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment tonight and I’ll do that.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. Its website states: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of freedom. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for no charge to every interested learner.”
